काशी(Kashi) में आने वाला कोई भी बड़ा से
बड़ा अधिकारी सबसे पहले बाबा काल भैरव का दर्शन किए बिना, इनके आशीर्वाद के बिना कोई
काम शुरू नहीं करता। ऐसा भी माना जाता है, कि बनारस में रहना है ,तो काशी के कोतवाल का दर्शन , पूजन करना ही होता है।Before any major senior

blessings of Bhairav, without his blessings. It is also believed that to stay

बहुत समय पहले कई देवी देवता भगवान ब्रह्मा से यह जानने के लिए सुमेरु
पर्वत पर गए थे ,कि कौन शाश्वत और सर्वोच्च
शक्तिशाली है। भगवान ब्रह्मा ने कहा कि वह श्रेष्ठ व्यक्ति हैं। भगवान विष्णु (जिन्हें नारायण या मधुसूदन के नाम से
भी जाना जाता है) , ब्रह्मा जी के त्वरित और
निष्पक्ष निर्णय से सहमत नहीं थे। भगवान ब्रह्मा जी और भगवान विष्णु जी दोनों उस एक ही प्रश्न के
उत्तर के लिए चारों वेदों के पास गए।Long ago, many goddess Deities went to the
Mount of Mount Hermon to know this from Lord Brahma, who is eternal and supreme
power. Lord Brahma said that he is the best person. Lord Vishnu (also known as
Narayan or Madhusudan), did not agree with the quick and unbiased decision of
Brahma Ji. Lord Brahma ji and Lord Vishnu went to the four Vedas for the answer
to that same question.
१-तब ऋग्वेद ने उत्तर दिया कि भगवान शंकर सर्वोच्च हैं, क्योंकि उनके पास सभी जीवित
प्राणियों को नियंत्रित करने की शक्ति है।
२-यजुर्वेद ने भी अपना उत्तर दिया कि
भगवान भोलेनाथ सर्वोच्च हैं, क्योंकि उन्हें सभी यज्ञों में पूजा किया जाता है।
३- सामवेद ने भी घोषणा की, कि भगवान उमापति(शंकर जी)
सर्वोच्च है ,क्योंकि वह कई प्रकार से
योगियों द्वारा पूजे जाते हैं ,और पूरी दुनिया को नियंत्रित करने में सक्षम हैं।
४- अथर्ववेद ने भी अपना मत दिया कि भगवान शंकर ही
सर्वोच्च देव
हैं, क्योंकि वे मनुष्यों की सभी
दुखों को परेशानियों को समाप्त कर सकते हैं।

Then Rigveda replied that Lord Shiva is supreme, because they have the power to
control all living beings.
2-Yajurveda
also responded that God Bholenath is supreme, because he is worshiped in all
Yajnas.
3-
Samaveda also declared that Lord Umashati (Shankar) is supreme, because he is
worshiped in many ways by Yogis, and capable of controlling the entire world.
4-
Atharva Veda also gave his opinion that Lord Shankar is the supreme God,
because he can end the problems of all the sorrows of human beings.
इस
प्रकार सभी चारों वेदों ने घोषणा किया कि भगवान शिवजी ही सबसे बड़े हैं।
वेदों
के फैसले पर भगवान ब्रह्मा और भगवान विष्णु दोनों हंसने लगे। तभी, भगवान भोलेनाथ उनके बीच में
एक बहुत शक्तिशाली और दिव्य चमक के रूप में पहुंचे।Thus all four Vedas
proclaimed that Lord Shiva is the biggest.On the verdict of the Vedas, both
Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu began to laugh. Only then, Lord Bholenath reached
among them a very powerful and divine shine.
तब
भगवान ब्रह्मा अपने 5वें सिर से उस चमक को बहुत गुस्से
से देखने लगे और भला बुरा कहने लगे। ब्रह्मा के इस आचरण पर शिव जी को भयानक क्रोध
आया और उन्होंने भैरव को उत्पन्न करके कहा कि तुम ब्रह्मा पर शासन करो। भगवान शिव
जी के आदेशानुसार भैरव जी ब्रह्मा जी के५वे सिर को काट दिया। जिससे उन्हें ब्रह्म
हत्या दोष लग गया। तब शिव जी ने भैरव से काशी में जाने को कहा। जहां पर भैरव जी को ब्रह्म हत्या से मुक्ति मिली।शिवजी ने
इन्हें काशी का कोतवाल नियुक्त किया। आज भी ये काशी
के कोतवाल के रूप में पूजे जाते हैं।ब्रह्म हत्या के दोष से बचने के कारण आज भी
काशी को हर संकट से बचाते
हैं।
इनके
कई रूप हैं। जो बनारस में भिन्न भिन्न जगह पर स्थापित हैं।Then Lord Brahma began to
see that glow with anger from his 5th head and started saying bad things. On
this conduct of Brahma, Shiva ji got terrible anger and he created Bhairav and
said that you should rule over Brahma. According to the instructions of Lord
Shiva, 5 heads of Bhairav ji Brahma ji cut off. Thereby he was accused of
murdering Brahma. Then Shiva asked Bhairav to go to Kashi. Where Bhairav Ji
got rid of Brahma killing. Shivji appointed him the Kotwal of Kashi.Even today,
they are worshiped in the form of Kotwal of Kashi. Due to escaping the blame
for the death of Brahmin, even today, they save Kashi from every crisis.They
have many forms. Which are set up in different places in Benares.
बाबा काल भैरव(Baba kaal bhairaw) के कई अलग अलग नाम हैं।Baba Kaal Bhairav has
many different names.
आदि
भैरव, भूत भैरव संहार भैरव, आसभैरव,कालभैरव बटुक भैरव, लाट भैरव, क्षत्रपाल भैरव। भक्त मानते है कि सप्ताह के
रविवार और मंगलवार को बाबा काल भैरव के दर्शन करने पर सभी मनोकामनाएं पूर्ण होती
हैं। Bhairav,
Bhairav Bhairav Samhara Bhairav, Asbhaarav, Kalbhairav Batuk Bhairav, Lat
Bhairav, Kshatrapal Bhairav. Devotees believe that all the wishes are fulfilled
on Baba Kaal Bhairav's visit to Sundays and Tuesdays of the week.
